In the American state of Kansas and legislators have reportedly approved a measure that would allow local sportsbetting aficionados to place wagers in person and via a host of mobile devices.
According to a report from a source, the legislation was ratified by the Kansas State Senate earlier today via a 21-to-13 margin only about 24 hours after being backed by the Kansas House of Representatives by a 73-to-49 margin. The proposal is now purportedly headed to the desk of Kansas Governor Laura Kelly (pictured) and could be enacted as soon as January so as to allow the state to bank up to $10 million in additional annual tax revenues.
